About The Position

Direct Hire Manual machinist Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other various machines Interpret sketches, engineering drawings and blueprints Plans, devises and fabricates various tools, dies, gauges, jigs and fixtures within precise specifications. Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments Maintain a clean and safe work environment Document production activities and part specifications Collaborate with engineers and team members Follow all safety protocols and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a manual machinist
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong understanding of machining processes
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work in a standing job for 9 hours per shift.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must have good work ethic, dependable to be at work on time and willing to support required overtime as needed.
• Commitment to workplace safety
