About The Position

Superion, in Xenia, Ohio, is a leading global manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications. Superion is currently looking for a CNC Machinist to set up and operate various types of tool and cutter grinding machines including CNC controlled tool and cutter grinders, profile grinders, Manual cutter grinders and OD Grinders to fabricate form tools, modify standard tools, and sharpen/resharpen a wide variety of tools and cutters. This position will be a second shift position, and hours may vary. Shift premium is available! Previous CNC experience isn't required, as training will be provided. Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 12:30pm - 9pm

Requirements

Able to perform basic math - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Able to lift 32 lbs.
Able to be on your feet for duration of shift with continuous movement

Responsibilities

Review blueprints and job orders to plan production sequence.
Work from tool design drawings, prints, sketches, tooling standards manual, tool orders, verbal instructions and prints of parts and applicable grinding charts.
Operate grinders to form-grind and sharpen cutting tools.
Select, mount, and align various types of machine fixtures, grinding wheels, and work-holding devices.
Trues and dresses grinding wheel to specified angles, curves, radii, and shapes.
Make continuous machine adjustments and redresses wheel to produce and maintain designated form and to sharpen such tools with proper rake angles, primary and secondary relief angles, cutting lands, dish-out, radii, and diameters.
Perform rework and modification of cutters as required.
Exhibit excellent team working and communication skills.
Compile and participate with ISO procedures and company policies.
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
