CNC Machinist – AD Systems – Everett, WA The CNC Machinist is responsible for set-up and machining of production, prototype and R&D parts and fixtures.  This position works cross functionally to ensure on-time and quality delivery. As the machinist, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10s). 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime based on business need.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology, 2-year degree in Machine Technology or equivalent training preferred.
7+ years’ total experience in manufacturing environment with at least 5+ years CNC machinist experience, preferably with 3 and 5 axis machines, including ability to program, setup and operate machine tools; CNC milling machine, CNC cutting, as well as conventional machines
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, G-code
Experience developing tools and fixtures
Ability to work unsupervised
Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong math skills, analytical, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience manufacturing to ISO 9000 standards preferred

Responsibilities

Machine precision parts for production and R&D utilizing variety of machine tools
Measure and document cost of producing parts relative to time and materials
Inspect own work and others using precision tools, comparators, etc.
Maintain equipment and perform set up of machines; operate CNC machining & cutting equipment
Assist in the design of tooling and fixtures and collaborate with programming team.
Perform work in accordance with Quality Assurance Program policies and adhere to company safety policies.
Participate in AJAC apprenticeship, if equivalent education and/or experience qualifications are not already met
Work across multiple shifts when required
Other duties as assigned
