CNC Machinist – AD Systems – Everett, WA The CNC Machinist is responsible for set-up and machining of production, prototype and R&D parts and fixtures.  This position works cross functionally to ensure on-time and quality delivery. As the machinist, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10s). 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime based on business need.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology, 2-year degree in Machine Technology or equivalent training preferred.
  • 7+ years’ total experience in manufacturing environment with at least 5+ years CNC machinist experience, preferably with 3 and 5 axis machines, including ability to program, setup and operate machine tools; CNC milling machine, CNC cutting, as well as conventional machines
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, G-code
  • Experience developing tools and fixtures
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong math skills, analytical, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience manufacturing to ISO 9000 standards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Machine precision parts for production and R&D utilizing variety of machine tools
  • Measure and document cost of producing parts relative to time and materials
  • Inspect own work and others using precision tools, comparators, etc.
  • Maintain equipment and perform set up of machines; operate CNC machining & cutting equipment
  • Assist in the design of tooling and fixtures and collaborate with programming team.
  • Perform work in accordance with Quality Assurance Program policies and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Participate in AJAC apprenticeship, if equivalent education and/or experience qualifications are not already met
  • Work across multiple shifts when required
  • Other duties as assigned
