About The Position

Turbine Weld Industries MRO, provides service to airlines, overhaul facilities, hot section shops, parts distributors, owner/operators, etc. We are a leader in the aerospace and manufacturing industry, known for our commitment to quality and precision. Based in Venice, Florida, we specialize in the repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6, PW100, and JT15D hot section components. SUMMARY: The Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting parts using conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment to ensure the timely production of high-quality products. Working from engineering drawings, process specifications, and quality requirements, the position supports efficient manufacturing through multi-machine operation, quality monitoring, and routine equipment maintenance. The role also involves performing secondary operations, moving materials within the production area, and supporting workflow continuity by assisting and training team members.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or experience in lieu of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an aerospace or aviation manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of CNC Multi- axis experience
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and material science related to aircraft components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training in aviation maintenance or quality.
  • Knowledge of proprietary repair processes and collaboration with OEMs.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Responsibilities

  • Team with others to set-up, operate and inspect parts on, conventional and Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines and mediums to assure the timely production and delivery of quality products to the customer.
  • Work from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes or procedures.
  • Perform multi-tasking and multi-machine operation where applicable.
  • Produce parts or assemblies using Conventional or Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) mediums, while simultaneously ensuring product and/or process quality at all levels of the manufacturing operation through monitoring/verification methodologies.
  • Concurrently perform related functions to provide complete hardware in accordance with engineering specifications including (e.g., operating multiple machines simultaneously, deburr part surface, milling, drilling, boring, honing, grinding, fastening).
  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties (e.g., replacing machine filters, changing standard lightbulbs on machines and equipment, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels, etc. as related to basic Total Preventative Maintenance duties).
  • Routinely move product within the immediate manufacturing work area, including across isle, using shop assigned equipment as required, and complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation.
  • On an exception basis, moves product to the next operation within a building.
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees of the same or lower classification level.
  • Other duties as assigned.
