About The Position

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Join our team as a Machinist! We’re an oil and gas manufacturing facility looking to strengthen our team with a talented machinist who values safety and efficiency. This position requires 3-5 years of CNC operating experience with 2 and 3-axis lathes as well as 4-axis mills, and it provides opportunities for career advancement. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Set up and operate various CNC machinery, specifically 2 and 3-axis lathes and 4-axis mills, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Work from work orders, drawings, and instructions to produce finished products. Edit CNC programs and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the machining process. Inspect finished work using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications. Maintain and clean machines and work areas, and assist in training new operators as needed. Adhere to all safety and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed beyond the primary job scope ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Machinery Involved: This role includes working with 2 and 3-axis lathes and 4-axis mills. Type of Controls: Machinists will primarily operate using Fanuc or Mazatrol controls. Work Schedule/Shift: The schedule typically requires overtime when the full department is working; overtime is voluntary when only selected machines are needed, as operators are cross-trained.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; a CNC machining certificate is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of independent setup and troubleshooting experience on CNC equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background check as part of the employment process.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistently with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s safety training requirements
