About The Position

JE Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming, setup, and machining expertise to support our precision manufacturing operations. This role requires deep technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to independently run complex jobs from programming through final inspection. The ideal candidate is a hands-on machinist with experience producing tight-tolerance parts, optimizing machining strategies, and working within an ISO-certified environment. This position plays a key role in prototype, small-batch, and production machining.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience with proven ability to independently run complex CNC parts.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Fanuc controls, G/M code programming, and CAM programming.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, GD&T, datum structures, and tolerancing.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles: speeds/feeds, tool selection, materials, cutter paths, and work holding strategies.
  • High school diploma required; technical certification or machining-related degree preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Renishaw probing systems and manual probing macros preferred.
  • Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Leadership, mentoring, or lead machinist experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • CNC Programming & Setup
  • Create, modify, and optimize CAM programs for CNC mills.
  • Perform complete machine setups including material verification, fixturing, work offsets, tool selection, and tool presetting.
  • Write and edit G & M code at the machine using Fanuc controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and part quality.
  • Utilize Renishaw probing systems for automated and manual probing cycles; develop and adjust probe macros as needed.
  • Machining & Production
  • Machine precision parts to tight tolerances based on detailed drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements.
  • Operate CNC equipment to complete roughing, finishing, drilling, tapping, contouring, pocketing, and complex multi-axis operations.
  • Manage multiple machines at once when appropriate while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor tool wear and adjust offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production cycles.
  • Build and modify fixtures, work holding solutions, and support tooling to improve setup repeatability.
  • Inspection & Quality
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, etc.
  • Verify accuracy of machined components according to GD&T callouts such as true position, concentricity, parallelism, and flatness.
  • Document inspection results and collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager on process improvements.
  • Perform 100% inspection on new or critical components.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize setup times, improve workflow, and increase throughput.
  • Recommend and test new tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with the development of setup sheets, process documentation, and standard work instructions.
  • Support engineering and management during pilot runs and new job prove-outs.
  • Teamwork & Leadership
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and guiding junior machinists and machine operators.
  • Provide technical expertise to address machining challenges and support production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area consistent with ISO standards and company policies.
