About The Position

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating multi-axis CNC/NC machines, often running multiple machines simultaneously. Your work will involve handling a variety of metals and parts with close tolerances and fine finishes. Utilizing complex measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and special purpose gages, you will generate and check part dimensions during various machining stages with precision. Your expertise in precise indicating on parts, where true indicator reading (TIR) and four-point indication are critical, will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Competitive Pay: Starting at $33.39/hour Weekend Premium: Work 36 hours, paid for 40 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, vacation, and holidays starting Day 1 Relocation Support: Available for candidates living 90+ miles from the facility Sign-On Bonus: offered and awarded to new machine operators upon successful completion of 90 days of employment What You Will Do Operate and Innovate: Set up and operate CNC machines and manual machining processes, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality finishes Inspect and Assure Quality: Utilize precision measuring instruments, electronic gauging equipment, surface plates, and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions and features Dimensional Accuracy & Indicating: Perform precise indicating operations, including TIR and four-point indication Documentation & Traceability: Accurately maintain electronic records, logs, and inspection documentation to ensure full traceability and compliance Collaborate & Train: Participate in team-based environments, share knowledge, and assist in training others to uphold manufacturing and inspection excellence Maintain Standards: Follow safety, quality, and ergonomic procedures while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace GE Aerospace offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in setup and operation of CNC and/or manual machining processes (drilling, milling, grinding, turning, broaching), OR a 2-year degree from an accredited machinist training program
  • At least 1 year of experience reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or production planning documents
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift materials up to 50 lbs using proper ergonomic procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Prior aircraft engine machining experience
  • Experience using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience working in a high-performing, team-based manufacturing environment
