CNC Machinist
About The Position
Cleveland Electric Laboratories (CEL) is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced aerospace components and systems. Our commitment to quality, precision, and safety ensures we meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, meeting production deadlines, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.) preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select appropriate tooling and make necessary machine adjustments
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document production results and maintain accurate records
