Requirements

Proven reliability with strong attendance and punctuality
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming and setup (multi-axis experience preferred)
Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, fixturing, and materials
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Willingness to work overtime when needed

Responsibilities

Independently perform complex machining operations with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency
Interpret CAD files, engineering drawings, sketches, and sample parts to plan machining strategies and tolerances
Design and fabricate custom fixtures for machining raw materials, castings, and components
Set up and operate CNC and manual equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs
Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
Calculate and optimize machining parameters such as speeds, feeds, depth of cut, and coolant flow
Program CNC tool paths to achieve high-quality results and maximize efficiency
Monitor machining processes to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet all engineering specifications and tight tolerances
Collaborate with engineering to identify design or manufacturing challenges and recommend practical solutions
Accurately document production activity within the work order system
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all quality standards
