ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented CNC Machinist/Programmer who can be a strong contributor to their heavily expanding company.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED and minimum of 1-3 years working directly in CNC machining shop
  • Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given for HAAS machine experience
  • G-Code programming experience
  • Able to read & interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of shop math with ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Experience working with wide range of precision measuring equipment
  • Familiar with the parts approval process and first article inspections
  • Able to utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given for HAAS machine experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance
  • Understand, interpret, and edit HAAS G-code programming
  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues
  • Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets
  • Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling
  • Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
  • Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance and quality requirements
  • Properly and safely load and unload castings and raw materials in CNC machinery
  • Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the CNC machining equipment
  • Maintain safety and quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area
  • Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration.
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.
