About The Position

The CNC Machinist will set up, operate and maintain computer numerical controls (CNC) machines to produce high-quality, precision parts and components in accordance with Engineering Specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on CNC operation and machine setup.
  • Off-line programming and Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) including installing and adjusting fixtures, cutting tools and materials.
  • Use of Mazatrol software and conduct off-line programing
  • Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints and G-code programs to determine machining procedures and specifications.
  • Use measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other tools to ensure product meets required standards.
  • Make real-time adjustments to controls to ensure part precision and accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent downtime, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement.
  • Follows all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties assigned within the department.
