About The Position

Ross Industries Inc. is the world leader and manufacturer of commercial food processing and packaging equipment. Ross is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to run HAAS, Okuma, or Mazak vertical and/or horizontal mills. The selected individual will use their specialized skills and talents to support the manufacturing department, as well as continually improve the products and services we provide to our customers. Summary: Qualified applicants must have previous experience setting up and operating CNC vertical and horizontal mills, as well as performing manual machining. Candidates must be able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and the ability to inspect parts, using precision measuring equipment. Must be able to stand most of the day, ability to lift 75 pounds, and operate fork lift is required. Candidates who have experience running HAAS, Okuma, or Mazak machines is a plus. Candidates selected for interview will take hands on test during the interview process. Relocation package available to candidates living outside of the metro area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year in manufacturing environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to stand most of the day
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Operate fork lift is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Haas and Okuma equipment highly desired
• Programming with MasterCam is a plus but not required
• Experience with fixture design is preferred
• Operation of manual mills and/or lathes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete set-up and operation of CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills and lathes
• Interpret part drawing and inspect parts to drawings
• Identify and set-up correct tooling for jobs
• Capable of basic program editing
• Expected to run multiple machines
