About The Position

McWilliams Forge began as a family owned company in the 1880's since then it was bought by PCC in 2008. Since being bought by PCC, McWilliams has been steadily growing. Currently, McWilliams supports the aerospace industry by supporting local and regional aircrafts. Job Description We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates a variety of machines in machine shop, including but not limited to; milling, turning, drilling, grinding etc. Able to work to close tolerances working from drawings with little or no guidance. Shift Hours: 10pm-6:15am

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience (3+ years)
• Willingness to learn
• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials

Nice To Haves

• CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
• Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes
