Job Summary & Essential Functions Setup and operate CNC equipment to machine material to meet controlled drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
  • Ability to manually program CNC machines and edit programs
  • Ability to use machining and tooling equipment and instruments
  • Ability to inspect and use measuring devices to ensure specified tolerances are met
  • Ability to operate cranes used in area
  • Strong math computation and measurement skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to understand torque requirements
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
  • Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
  • Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members
  • High school diploma or GED; machine trade or technical school experience preferred
  • No experience

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate assigned production equipment following first piece inspection processes
  • Cut material to specified tolerances as close as +/- 0.001
  • Monitor equipment to ensure that parts are manufactured to print and applicable workmanship standards
  • Perform machine maintenance activities as specified on the Preventive Maintenance schedules for assigned production equipment
  • Follow departmental and company procedures to produce
  • Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
