About the position
The CNC Machinist position at JR Automation involves operating various CNC machining equipment to support the design, build, and deployment of custom automated solutions. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machine tools such as mills, specifically CNC vertical mills.
- Read blueprints and machine metallic and nonmetallic parts to specified tolerances.
- Import CAD data and use FeatureCAM software to program CNC machining centers.
- Calculate feeds and speeds, adjusting for cutting conditions to optimize processing.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and maintain housekeeping of the work area.
- Communicate potential quality issues clearly with management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years prior machining experience or vocational school preferred.
- Journeyman machinist preferred but not necessary.
