About The Position

PCC Airfoils - SMP manufactures military and commercial turbine blades and vanes for aircraft and land-based applications. Super Alloys composed primarily of nickel and cobalt are used to cast the blades and vanes for gas turbine engines. The CNC position works on an 'Off Work Week' schedule which is highly sought after as a stable rotating biweekly schedule. Volunteer overtime opportunities are available.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent required; machinist trade school certificate a plus
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Pass annual vision screening
• Must show ability to follow detailed procedures reliably
• Be able to meet daily production goals
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions

Responsibilities

• Operation of ALL CNC equipment (Saws, Mills, Grinder, OKUMA's)
• Data Collection as defined by procedures
• Gaging castings
• Meet an acceptable level of the specific requirements of the efficiency AND quality standards
• Keep work area in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition
• Perform other duties that are assigned by the Supervisor
• Follow all safety rules
