About The Position

Spears Manufacturing is seeking experienced and entry-level CNC Machinists to join their team in Caney, Kansas. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, specifically Hurco mills and Romi lathes with Fanuc control. Requirements

• Strong background in machining and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of cutting tool geometry, speeds, and feeds.
• Experience with 3D mill M/CAM is a plus.
• Experience with conventional mill, lathe, surface grinder, drill, saw, and EDM is a plus.
• Understanding of geometry and trigonometry for skilled inspection.

• Experience with conventional machining tools.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up, and operate CNC equipment including Hurco mills and Romi lathes with Fanuc control.
• Read and understand tool drawings and blueprints.
• Hold close tolerances of plus/minus .002” on parts.
• Verify parts using sine plate, height gauge, and layout methods.
• Adapt to constant changes in a non-production environment.
