CNC MACHINIST TRAINEE Position Summary The CNC Machinist Trainee is an entry-level role designed for individuals with mechanical aptitude and prior manufacturing experience but no previous CNC machining experience. This position focuses on foundational skill development, including safe machine operation, use of measuring equipment, and basic blueprint reading. The trainee will be paired with a designated trainer and shadow them during the first 90 days. Successful completion of the probationary period requires meeting defined training and production milestones. Shadow an assigned trainer during the initial 90-day training period Learn safe CNC machine operation and shop safety procedures Learn to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Learn basic blueprint reading and part specifications Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles under supervision Perform basic in-process inspections as trained Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety, quality, and production policies Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational needs Training & Probationary RequirementsTo successfully complete the 90-day probationary period, the trainee must: Demonstrate safe and consistent machine operation Demonstrate basic proficiency using measuring equipment Demonstrate basic blueprint comprehension Achieve at least 80% of the established production goal on the assigned machine(s).
