About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring mill production team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The CNC Mill Lead provides effective training to the team and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained.

Requirements

Five years’ experience in the manufacturing industry with knowledge of speeds and feeds and one year of lead or other leadership experience.
Previous Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, materials, and processes.
Experience with MS applications.
Strong aptitude in math and blueprint ready.
Must be able to qualify simple parts using a variety of inspection equipment.

Have 5-Axis CNC Mill Machining Experience.

Responsibilities

Work with Manager and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and met all quality requirements.
Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the manufacturing floor.
Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Manager.
Work closely with support staff such as Manufacturing Engineering, Program Managers, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 6S activities.
Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution and consultation with Production Manager and HR.
Meet department and personal expectations for productivity, quality, and strive for continuous improvement.
Follow guidelines for work scheduling and understand delivery objectives.
Report any machine or process problems or variances to Process Improvement Coordinator/Production Manager.
Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
Good work ethic and maintains good attendance. (Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position).
Performs other duties as assigned.
