By utilizing broad engineering expertise along with sophisticated 5-axis CNC machining and special processing, we have the ability to deliver solutions that are responsive to customer needs. The CNC Machinist is a key member of our Tooling Department, with responsibility for reverse engineering, designing, and fabricating innovative solutions in support of the Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance departments.

  • Designs and fabricates tools/parts in accordance with work order instructions.
  • Provides tool design input to engineers to optimize all tool designs.
  • Identifies and pursues improvements in all areas of tool fabrication.
  • Maintains close working relationships with engineering, quality, and production personnel concerning tooling needs.
  • Serves as interface between tooling department and all other functional areas.
  • Orders all materials for tool fabrication through the requisition process.
  • Draw, read, and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
  • Utilizes precision measurement instruments to check and verify tool dimensions.
  • Manufactures, repairs, and/or reworks machine components for maintenance.
  • Inspects finished tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
  • Collaborates with teammates on processes and other technical information.
  • Works in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or training.
  • Technical certification or associate's degree in machining/manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with G-Code and CNC programming.
  • Experience with Mastercam, CATIA, or similar CAD/CAM system required.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc mill controls.
  • Creative and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, timekeeping, and work order systems required.
  • Acceptable vision test results (as applicable).
