We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator based at our Windsor, CT location.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of CNC experience.
• Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to pass Drug Screening.

Nice To Haves

• Current and valid certification.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently read from engineering drawings and BOMS to set up and operate a wide variety of CNC milling machines (vertical, horizontal, and arbor).
• Modify G & M codes in control programs as required.
• Send and receive programs from network location to CNC control.
• Understand work zero offsets and modify as required.
• Use spindle and tool offset probe as needed.
• Select proper tooling for milling, drilling, tapping, and boring operations.
• Machine a variety of materials including metallic and non-metallic.
• Load and unload machines using hoists, cranes, straps, and proximity lift magnets.
• Deburr and degrease components as required.
• Use and interpret measuring instruments such as scales, squares, calipers, verniers, indicators, and micrometers.
• Replace carbide inserts as required.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
