OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist I who will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role involves setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring machine processes, and performing basic maintenance tasks. Under the guidance of experienced machinists, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Set up CNC machines by loading the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machine performance and adjusting as necessary Conduct routine quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions Make tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments as directed by senior CNC operators or programmers Perform basic machine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes Identify and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Assist in the documentation of production records, including part counts and machine logs Collaborate with senior CNC operators and machinists to enhance machining skills and knowledge Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
