About The Position

PEKO is a full-service, debt-free, privately-owned contract manufacturer with over 50 years embedded in the Rochester, NY community. In collaboration with our valued business partners, we deliver new product development (NPI) strategies for product commercialization and provide solutions in the medical, industrial, defense, and renewable energy industries. Enriching life is a crucial component of what we do daily. The CNC Machinist is responsible for the set-up and operation of a variety of CNC machines. You will set up, operate, and manufacture products according to blueprint specifications and customer requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 plus years experience in a machine shop environment.
• 3 plus years of experience working with vertical mill machines.
• Previous experience with the setup and operation of CNC Mills or Lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).

Nice To Haves

• Associates in precision machining.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC milling with fanuc controls, MAZAK, or similar.
• Experience in horizontal mill machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines.
• Manufacture products according to blueprint specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct a final inspection of a product to ensure it is free from defects and ready for the next stage of production.
