About The Position

As a CNC Machinist 4, you will partner with other CNC machinists, engineering, CNC programming, and Operations teams to set up and fixture various jobs. You will run 5-Axis DMG Mori DMF and DMC milling centers. You will also be setting up and running NLX machines as well as Okuma lathes and mills. In this role, you will report to the CNC shop supervisor.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of related experience required.
• Ability to program, set up, and run 5 Axis DMG/Mori mills.
• Requires machine shop experience and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of higher mathematics involved in the application of engineering principles and the performance of related operation.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, editing programs, and operating 5 axis DMG milling centers as well as setting up and running a variety of CNC equipment.
• Loading parts in machines, cycling machines, and detecting malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged tools.
• Running production lots.
• Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Performing inspection of machined products including documentation of results.
• Maintaining appropriate paperwork for various parts.
