2nd Shift CNC Machining Production Supervisor (4pm to 2am M-F)The role of the 2nd shift supervisor combines high-level technical expertise with assertive team leadership. The position will be the primary authority on the floor during 2nd shift, responsible for safety, and ensuring the production schedule stays on track and that all personnel are working efficiently. This position requires someone who can manage union employees, coordination with the dayshift supervisor, and serve as the technical expert on the machining side. As the 2nd shift supervisor, the candidate will have limited support, this position must have the experience to address error codes, adjust off-sets and mechanical issues. The candidate will be responsible for managing the setup and operation of our multi-axis lathes and horizontal mills. Your main focus will be leading your team to hit production goals while ensuring every part meets our high-quality standards and tight tolerances.The goal of the 2nd shift supervisor is to keep production moving smoothly and safely. You are to ensure your team machines quality parts that meets production standards. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge of programming and operations to improve the overall capability of the shift. In addition to the machining department, the candidate will also manage 3-5 employees in the non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection, and storeroom departments. While your primary focus is the machine department, the candidate will support these additional departments. Your leadership will help these departments run efficiently with a focus on safety and quality. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years equivalent work experience in mechanical or related Engineering field from an accredited institution. EXPERIENCE: 1-5 Years (5+ preferred) in a CNC Manufacturing/Engineering Environment.Note: This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
