About The Position

A manufacturer of products for the Railroad and Transit Industry and is seeking a versatile and innovative CNC Programming Engineer to develop new products from concept through production. Company is growing as the result of new products and holds a strong position within the industry. To meet and continue this growth, our engineering department is expanding and offering both challenging and rewarding positions. This engineer will have responsibility for the programming, fixturing and tooling needed to machine castings, forgings and weldments.

Requirements

Expert level programming using MasterCam a must.
Experience programming Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers and Lathes required.
Skills assisting with the optimization of existing programs to increase throughput and tool life is essential.
Extensive 3D modeling as well as supporting engineering software experience is required.
Experience managing the maintenance and service of machining centers is helpful.
The successful candidate is self-motivated and able to manage projects with minimum direction.
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years professional experience as a CNC programmer.
Good communication skills are needed for interaction with customers and suppliers.

Nice To Haves

Electronics knowledge is a plus but not required.
There is the added potential for international travel, presenting technical papers, and becoming a recognized engineer within the industry.
