Amentum is seeking an CNC Machine Repair Technician IV at the subject matter expert level to join our Facilities – Operations and Maintenance team based in Durham, NC Typical work hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM; hours may vary based on business demand. The specialist performs as the technical expert with respect to installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting the electrical/electronic, mechanical and controls needs of automated equipment in an industrial environment. Must be capable of providing instruction, mentoring and training less skilled technicians as needed. Effectively communicates with the site management team and the customer to understand requirements, solve complex electrical problems, and provide solutions to manufacturing problems. The CNC Machine Repair Technician must have the ability to identify troubleshoot and correct any operational or safety-related issues and perform independent equipment root cause evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
