About the position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team at Apex CNC Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient CNC programs for various manufacturing processes. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines and other CNC equipment based on engineering specifications and blueprints.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate program development.
• Utilize CAD software, including AutoCAD, to design and modify parts as needed.
• Conduct tests and adjustments on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and precision.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and bore gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Maintain documentation of programming changes, machine settings, and production reports.

Requirements

• Proficiency in machining processes and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
• Experience in programming CNC machinery with a focus on milling operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, and other geometry tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
