About The Position

As our CNC Machine Operator, you’ll be the one who creates gravity-defying products. You’ll assemble machined parts into a sub-assembly state and inspect and back flywheels to be delivered for final assembly. You’ll ensure all products are crafted with the utmost quality by operating CNC equipment, performing pre-operation inspections, setting up the machine and parameters, inspecting all parts against standards, maintaining safe operations, ensuring continuity among work shifts, working closely with teammates, documenting actions, and maintaining information in computer databases.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Be mechanically inclined
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Possess conceptual, process improvement, functional, and technical skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Possess quality focus, sound judgment, and decision-making
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  • Ability to perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  • Ability to visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  • Ability to distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and/or electrical background
  • Experience operating tooling and gauging equipment
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment (depth mics, snap mics, and temperature gauges)

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC equipment
  • Perform pre-operation inspections of pieces and parts or on the machines themselves
  • Set up the machine and parameters
  • Inspect all parts against standards using tooling and gauges
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Ensure continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs
  • Work closely with teammates in other departments
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs
  • Maintain information in computer databases
