About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator plays a key role in producing high-quality precision parts by operating manual and computer controlled multi-axis lathes and machining centers. This role involves reading prints and specifications while monitoring and inspecting parts to ensure they conform to specifications. No prior experience is required. We welcome individuals eager to learn and grow in a hands-on machine shop environment that demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand English, interpreting safety rules, procedures, and technical information.
  • Ability to keep manual and CNC multi axis machine tools operating.
  • Strong basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to train others in equipment functions.
  • Clear and effective communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Results oriented with a strong commitment to quality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load machine(s) either manually or through operation of a bar feeder.
  • Operate drill presses, polishing equipment, and other hand and power tools according to training and written instructions.
  • Perform hand operations including deburring, cleaning, and preparing parts for the next operation.
  • Read blueprints and job specifications; inspect parts to print, record measurements, and monitor quality.
  • Package and transport parts safely between operations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machine shop work area.
  • Identify and communicate problems effectively and collaborate with Machinists and Product Owners to resolve problems.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; support company values and quality standards.
  • Work overtime as needed to support production goals.
