About The Position

You will be a CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift) at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. In this role you'll ensure precision machined parts meet exacting specifications, keep machines running smoothly, and support the production of critical defense systems. What You Will Be Doing As the operator of computer numerical control (CNC) equipment you will: Measure finished workpieces with precision instruments, templates and fixtures to verify conformance to drawings. Mount, install, align and secure tools, fixtures, attachments and workpieces using hand tools and measuring devices. Stop machines as needed to remove parts, change tooling or adjust work piece placement according to the machining sequence. Transfer machining commands from servers to CNC modules via network links. Monitor lubrication and cooling to ensure proper machine operation. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines and tooling. Read and interpret blueprints, technical plans and CNC programs to set up operations. Communicate any issues or deviations clearly to supervisors and engineering staff. Requirements

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift
  • Basic CNC experience.
  • General knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens
