About The Position

The Machine Operator has a focus on machining components for all manufacturing operations. Machines a wide variety of parts that make up the various products we offer in the marketplace.

Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to read calipers
Ability to interpret drawings

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in on or all of the following machines: BACCI Master, BACCI Intorex, BACCI Jet, BACCI Artist, 5-Axis machine centers, and CNC Routers

Responsibilities

Operate machines and power equipment according to specific instructions for those machines power equipment.
Manually set up each machine or pull up the computer program in the case of CNC equipment for parts production.
Run material through the machines checking for accuracy and quality.
Perform timely and regular calibrations and perform preventive maintenance on machines you are responsible for.
Insure that the correct materials are being used for each product component.
Identify and use correct tooling to perform each operation.
Help ensure that 5S for the area are met.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support the Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
Support the Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and the facility Priorities of Focus and management policies.
