This position will be for our 2nd shift that runs M-Th 3:30pm-1:30am. Work Description: Read blueprints and other drawings to ensure products are sized and otherwise machined correctly. Prepare CNC machines for operation by loading necessary tools, fixtures, and materials. Set up machine parameters, including tool offsets, work coordinates, and cutting paths, according to engineering drawings and instructions. Minor modifications to programming with assistance from programmer/engineering based on designs and specifications. Optimize programs for efficiency and accuracy, considering tool paths, cutting speeds, and feed rates. Operate CNC machinery to produce parts and components with precision and consistency. Monitor machine operations, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Update information in manufacturing software regarding job data and inventory. Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Clean and lubricate machine components, replace worn or damaged tooling, and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Take proactive measures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including setup sheets, program revisions, and inspection reports. Document any issues or deviations from standard procedures for future reference.
