Sloan Lubrication Systems is a 4th generation family business. We design, manufacture, and install lubrication systems for multiple industries with a focus on natural gas compression, refining, and rotating machinery. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming using G&M code
  • Ability to perform basic edits and offsets.
  • Ability to read and interpret work related machine drawings.
  • Ability to make average mathematical calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
  • Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, quality and safety minded.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and work instructions, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and stay organize
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma.
  • Computer literacy; ability to use email, internet and other Windows-based software and systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Load and operate CNC turning centers and/or machining centers under immediate supervision, with assistance from an experienced machinist.
  • Follow written and verbal procedures as assigned.
  • Read and interpret work order routings, prints, sketches, and tool sheets.
  • Inspect work using micrometer, bore gage, Vernier, calipers, or other precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing requisitions with supervisor and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Prepare manufacturing documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, quality forms, and productivity reports.
  • Monitor and adjust processes or equipment for quality and productivity; troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
  • Contribute to team effort by completing jobs with a high level of quality, to specifications, and on time.
  • Follow guidelines for quality control; make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment, adhering to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies; report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Make proper labor and time report entries.
  • Learn and use company systems (email, HR system and production software) as directed.
