About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for effectively operating CNC machines and other shop equipment, performing machine set-ups, and monitoring processes to ensure production and quality meet or exceed customer expectations. Duties include setting up machines by building and setting tools and work offsets, loading and unloading parts to keep machines running efficiently, and proving out programs as needed to support production. You will also assist in other areas of the shop as needed and inspect parts both mechanically and visually using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, gage pins, and thread gages to ensure compliance with blueprint, work order, engineering, and customer specifications. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate timekeeping through the company shop floor system, deburring parts as time allows or as directed to maximize efficiency during cycle times, and maintaining a clean workstation through daily sweeping, decluttering, and returning materials and tools to their designated areas.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required
  • At least two years of CNC machining experience or applicable training and education
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • A solid work ethic
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while meeting deadlines
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in environments with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including but not limited to eye and ear protection
  • Occasionally require lifting and/or moving items weighing between 10 and 50 pounds
