About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator (Milling – Fanuc Controls) will support the machining processes used in the manufacturing of company products by operating CNC milling machines and ensuring consistent production of quality parts. This role focuses on running established jobs, monitoring machine performance, and maintaining quality standards in a production environment. This position will primarily support vertical machining centers (VMCs), including Bridgeport GX510 machines or similar equipment, operating on Fanuc controls. Location: Plainville, Connecticut. This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday with overtime available (2nd shift: 3:30pm-12:00am).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience operating CNC machines; familiarity with Fanuc controls preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
  • Familiarity with CNC milling machines (VMCs) such as Bridgeport, Haas, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines, including Bridgeport GX510 or similar vertical machining centers
  • Work with Fanuc controls to load and run programs as directed
  • Load and unload parts and ensure proper placement in fixtures
  • Monitor machine cycles to ensure parts are produced efficiently and within quality standards
  • Follow established setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation
  • Perform in-process inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and fixtures
  • Make minor adjustments (such as offsets or tool changes) within defined guidelines
  • Identify and report machine issues, alarms, or quality concerns to supervision or setup personnel
  • Maintain production pace to meet schedule and delivery requirements
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic machine care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Share information and communicate effectively with team members
  • Follow all applicable safety rules and precautions
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
