About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator (Metals) is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with metal machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement, along with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with CNC controls and metal cutting processes
Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic math skills and understanding of metric measurements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic computer skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications
Load materials and monitor machine performance during production runs
Perform part inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards are met
Troubleshoot minor machine or process issues and make necessary adjustments
Perform routine maintenance and keep machines in good working condition
Support changeovers and help optimize machine performance to reduce scrap and downtime
Accurately document production data and report quality concerns
Follow safety, quality (IATF 16949), and production procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
Ensure compliance with company environmental and quality management systems, including ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Other duties as assigned.
