About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator (Metals) is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with metal machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement, along with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with CNC controls and metal cutting processes
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic math skills and understanding of metric measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Load materials and monitor machine performance during production runs
  • Perform part inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards are met
  • Troubleshoot minor machine or process issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines in good working condition
  • Support changeovers and help optimize machine performance to reduce scrap and downtime
  • Accurately document production data and report quality concerns
  • Follow safety, quality (IATF 16949), and production procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Ensure compliance with company environmental and quality management systems, including ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
