About The Position

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education. Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for CNC Machine Operator II to produce quality medical instruments in accordance with Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. procedures in a safe and effective manner in order to exceed the customers' needs. This position will be for Weekend Shift (Friday through Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm). Successful candidates must possess a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of relevant CNC experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of direct CNC machine experience or equivalent vocational education required.
  • CNC machines set up experience is preferred.
  • Computer literacy and basic math skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of assigned curriculum within 180 days of hire/transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi axis Swiss lathes.
  • Experience with milling machining centers.
  • Experience with grinders and EDM.

Responsibilities

  • Follow written process and operate a variety of CNC machines and special processes.
  • Receive work order and verify that the components are correct.
  • Receive material and load on bar feeder.
  • Perform and record line clearance.
  • Verify the machine is running the correct program.
  • Deburr parts as required.
  • Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Interact in a Manufacturing environment with a variety of personnel and shift change over on a daily basis.
  • Confirm that inspection process is kept at AQLS C=0.
  • Maintain good quality and production output.
  • Sort/rework parts as required.
  • Assist out on other operations as required.
  • Data entry in SAP system.
  • Maintain work area in a clean orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
  • Perform first cut-off.
  • Return all axis to the home position.
  • Stop machine to change settings, replace tools and perform tool offsets.
  • Recommend process improvements with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
  • Adjust bar feeder for proper size of material and perform a dry run without material.
  • Perform first PC inspection when back-to-back or partial set-up is completed.
  • Adjust tools to meet blueprint specifications.
  • Download programs to the machine, dry run machine with no material and all tools in place.
  • Monitor screen pages and machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
  • Perform back-to-back and partial set ups on multi axis lathes and milling machining centers.
  • Demonstrate ability to streamline processes to increase productivity and quality.
  • Install and adjust collects with proper pressure.
  • Clean and assemble all collect assemblies, removes or replaces fixture, collects and tools.
  • Verify correct tools against tool data sheet and program.
  • Notify Crew Coordinators/Supervisors of issues/opportunities for improvements.
  • Support machine operators as assigned by Crew Coordinators and or Supervisor.
