The position involves confirming job order procedures and instructions related to machine operations. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines and/or production equipment, strictly adhering to instructions, job specifications, and blueprints. The role requires reading blueprints accurately to ensure proper machinery setup and operating hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine. Additionally, the candidate will use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and identify and stamp parts for traceability. Inspecting products per print and maintaining machine cleanliness, performing minor maintenance, and reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel are also key responsibilities. The candidate must be willing to purchase required tools that must pass certification criteria and be able to complete tasks under close supervision. Entry-level CNC machining processes will be performed with assistance, and skills will be developed through repeated operations and on-the-job training. The candidate should be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints, as well as write routine reports and correspondence. Basic mathematical skills are required, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, as well as compute rate, ratio, and percent. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
