Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency required
  • License in a relevant trade preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, operate hand and power tools
  • Physical demands including standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and climbing
  • 8+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience required
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in a metal working manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Expert Knowledge of OEM machine controllers (FANUC, Siemens and Allen Bradley)
  • Perform advanced mechanical repairs (and rebuilds) on Magerle, Okuma, Makino and other machines
  • Excessive experience pulling and replacing machine linear guides and ball screws
  • Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams and drawings
  • Expert knowledge of tool probing function for CNC Machines
  • Advanced knowledge of complex NC machines up to & including 5 axis and large surface grinders
  • Expert knowledge of machine leveling and alignment on all CNC machines
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary
  • Advanced knowledge of Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintaining machine tool equipment and controls
  • Expert knowledge of machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
  • General facilities maintenance
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
  • Work ethic based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions and priorities
  • Extensive experience with continuous improvement of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
