About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC Machinist to perform a variety of machining practices including turning, milling, drilling, and threading operations on turbomachinery components and assemblies. This position ensures all parts meet required specifications and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC operator.
  • Experience with manual machining preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Proficient with hand tools and possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Understanding of safe machine practices.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, physical examination, and background check.
  • Ability to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift (minimum of 8 hours per day in a shop environment).
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance as required.
  • Ability to use hands for assembly and tool usage with repetitive motion.
  • Ability to operate small lifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting equipment (training provided).
  • Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, and metal particles in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor CNC machines to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Perform turning, milling, drilling, and threading operations to specification.
  • Conduct routine in-process inspections and document results in accordance with established quality control procedures.
  • Adjust machines as needed for changeovers, different functions, or varying production requirements.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and basic machine maintenance to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Utilize manual machines and band saws as required.
  • Follow safe machining practices at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CNC Shift Lead and/or Supervisor.
