About The Position

rms Company provides contract manufacturing of high-quality, tight-tolerance medical implants, components and sub-assemblies using cutting-edge technology. rms is part of the Cretex Medical family of companies. The Swiss/Lathe CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices for the medical device industry. This position is for the 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:00am. A sign-on bonus is available ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, dependent on level of experience.

Requirements

• Operator experience with Swiss or Lathe CNC machines
• Strong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using a microscope
• Ability to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer

Nice To Haves

• Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments
• Previous experience with tight tolerances
• Programming experience with Swiss CNC Machines
• Experience with set-up on Swiss CNC Machines
• Experience in troubleshooting of Swiss CNC Machines

Responsibilities

• Able to operate CNC Swiss/Lathe machines
• Manufacture parts to print
• Ability to use inspection equipment to inspect parts
• Proficient at blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing
• Maintain a high level of quality
• Collect SPC data to maintain process control
