CNC Lathe Operator - Night Shift
About The Position
Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Our goal is to be regarded as an irreplaceable resource by our customers. The only way for a company to meet such a goal is to consistently meet production deadlines and expectations. Position Description: The Lathe Operator performs detailed machine setups, G & M code (CNC) programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts using both CNC and manual lathes. The shift is Monday – Thursday working 10-hour days starting at 3pm; includes a 20% shift differential.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certificate in relevant discipline is a plus
- 2+ years experience machining
- Must be able to perform basic production shop mathematics
- Must have knowledge of machining principles and various machining technologies
- Must be able to perform tool changes
- Must be able to operate precision measurement tools
- Must have strong understanding of standard CNC controllers FANUC
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability
- Must be able to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Operation of production processes
- In-process inspection of parts with provided gages
- Comparing production parts to drawing specifications and troubleshooting/reporting machine and production process issues to supervisor
- Produces at quantity and quality levels in accordance with Company’s requirements
- Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company’s policy
- Maintains area, workbenches, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
- Follow all Company policies, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security
- Fill in as needed in other departments
