About The Position

This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines include 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve reading and editing G & M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections. The position will also involve running different grades of material and performing multiple setups a day.

Requirements

High school diploma
3 to 5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred
Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material
Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls
Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T preferred
Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge
Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred

When possible, we provide the option for CNC Machinists on 2nd or 3rd shift to work a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule. Training takes place on 1st shift which includes a 5/8 training schedule.
2nd shift premium of 10% and 3rd shift premium of 15%
Guaranteed at least 40 hours per week
Overtime is optional and not mandatory
Sign-on bonus of $2,500 for CNC Machinist 1 and $7,500 for CNC Machinist 2
