About The Position

Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders. Weekend Shift is 3 days per week, 12 hour days. Starts at 6AM and ends at 6:30PM, Friday, Saturday adn Sunday.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes.
  • Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
  • General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
  • Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
  • Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
  • Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
  • The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC Okuma a plus.
  • OSHA 10-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
  • Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
  • Must be able to work off of blueprints
  • Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
  • Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
  • You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving.
  • Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
  • Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
