Requirements

  • CNC Machinist Level 3 or 4.
  • Machine types of Okuma.
  • Fanuc and Okuma controls.
  • Ability to set- up and operate Okuma CNC lathes.
  • Contribute to multi machines operation.
  • Ability to understand Blueprints and GD&T.
  • Fluent in using all types of measuring equipment form hand tools to CMM and Optical comparators.
  • Read and understand G and M codes.
  • Ability to perform simple program edits as needed.
  • Must be able to set up complex jobs using work instructions or guides.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Operates primary and high-end machinery including set-up and complete program understanding with editing ability to produce complex, non-routine parts and components.
  • Perform machining operations on CNC machine tools including shop floor programming and using such procedures as multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures, debugging first run programs and making or suggesting changes to machine tool program.
