Shift Hours (includes 20 min paid lunch; Monday-Friday workweek) 3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am "We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $22.00-$28.00/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law." Position Summary: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of CNC Lathe machining experience
- Experience with one of the following lathes: Makino, Haas, or Mazak
- Must have proficient knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection equipment and techniques
- Basic shop math skills required
- Proficient knowledge of reading blueprints and/or operation sheets
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with small precision parts
Nice To Haves
- CMM training a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up CNC lathe machines for production runs.
- Load raw materials and verify tooling configurations.
- Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Make offsets and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
- Follow all required work and maintenance instructions and procedures
- Load component materials into product specific tools
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to assure conformance to requirements
- Perform other functions as required.
