About The Position

APX Enclosures is a manufacturing company that fabricates aluminum and steel enclosures for a variety of industries. Our customers use our enclosures for traffic controls, communications, utilities, and other various market applications. We are a growing business and are looking for individuals who want to come along on the upward journey! We are actively seeking someone to operate and run a CNC laser.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience
Proficiency in CNC laser cutting and CNC programming
Familiarity with GD&T and electrical discharge machining
Experience operating a forklift and using a press brake machine
Ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and quality inspection techniques

Responsibilities

Setting up the laser machine each day to run
Sourcing material from the plant floor to fulfill job orders
Working with the engineering and production teams to address any corrections or adjustments that need to happen with any laser programs
Keeping all parts for each job order organized and accounted for before moving work orders ahead in the production line
Deburring parts as needed
Keeping a clean work area
