About The Position

This position involves operating CNC laser machines, specifically the Trumpf 1040 Fiber and Mitsubishi XL 6030 CO2. The role requires a good listener with reliable transportation and experience operating forklifts. The candidate will be responsible for cleaning up around the machine and must be willing to extend hours when necessary. The job requires reading calipers and tape measures and being mechanically inclined.

Requirements

• At least 2 solid years of experience with laser machines such as Trumpf, NTC, Mitsubishi, Tanaka, Bystronic, or Cincinnati.
• Ability to operate Siemens and Fanuc controllers.
• Experience with window-based touch screen controllers.
• Ability to read a tape measure and real calipers.
• Knowledge of plate thickness, grades, and material types.
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and bend at the waist and knees.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate Trumpf 1040 Fiber and Mitsubishi XL 6030 CO2 CNC laser machines.
• Read customer and shop prints.
• Palletize and tag jobs as they are cut.
• Clean up parts to customer specifications.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Operate forklifts ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 lbs.
• Maintain cleanliness around the machine.
