CNC Horizontal Machinist
About The Position
CNC Horizontal Machinist –1st or 2nd shift Love machining and want a shop that values your skills? If you take pride in holding tight tolerances and producing quality parts, WALCO Tool & Engineering may be the shop you're looking for. We are seeking skilled machinists to support our operations in a clean, organized and quality-driven environment. What You'll Do: Set up and run CNC horizontal milling machines Perform contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances Inspect your own work – quality matters here Keep machines running smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
- 7+ years of CNC vertical mill setup and operation
- Must be able to do multiple set-ups daily
- Solid blueprint reading skills
- Understanding of G & M codes
- Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.
- Standard measuring tools required
